FAQS

What are Honey Block products made from?

Our products are made from 100% natural fibres and plant dyes from ingredients like indigo, pomegranate and turmeric.

  • Our block prints are made from organic cotton;
  • Our apparel is made from Indian hemp and organic cotton;
  • Our bags and clutches are made from a premium cotton cavas.

How do I know if I've picked the right size?

Our clothing comes in two size breaks - S-M and M-L - except our block printed robes which run free size. Our apparel is oversized for maximum comfort, however be sure to check the sizing chart on each product page before making a purchase.

Some shrinkage of hemp products is expected after the first wash due to the fabric being a gauze. We've sized the clothing up to factor this in.

We've listed the dimensions of homewares on each product page too.

How do I take care of my purchase?

We recommend to:

  • Avoid chemical soaps and detergents;
  • Cool hand wash smaller pieces;
  • Run larger pieces like bed linen on a cool delicate cycle;
  • Wash coloured pieces separately and do not mix with lighter colours and;
  • Dry in shade to help retain colour.

Taking care of your purchase can extend its life.

Can I return or refund my purchase?

Please refer to our return and exchange policy here.

Where are Honey Block products made?

Our homewares and apparel are designed in Australia and made in Rajasthan, India.

Are you an Australian business?

Yes, we are a small Australian business that sources our products from India.

How do you honour the tradition of block printing?

Block printing is a vanishing art as cheaper and synthetic machine-made textiles have taken over the market. One piece of block printed cotton from which our products are cut takes approximately two weeks to make and is entirely done by hand and eye. We buy our fabrics from a small business in India that's specialised in block printing for more than 60 years and employs 25 artisans that continue this craft. This business employs women in different areas of production and uses organic materials and dyes which cuts out exposure to toxic chemicals.

How do you give back to the community of artisans in India?

We understand that giving back to the communities in which we live and work is vital. We're currently looking at the best ways to support the artists we source from and help continue the practice of block printing. We'll keep you updated as we navigate this journey.
